Luo Fahui
Categories: Paintings

Luo Fahui was born in 1961 in Chonqing. He graduated from oil painting department of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in 1985. The flowers he use in his paintings symbolize sex. Chinese sex culture is depressingly gentle, dark and implicit. Luo’s roses are dark, wet, but also have a soft gentle beauty.  Luo’s roses are a woman’s sensuality as rendered by a man. Perhaps many Chinese men have the gentleness and delicacy of a woman and, within their culture, are normal and natural.

Noticable collections: National Art Museum of China, Shanghai Art Museum, Chengdu Modern Art Museum, Shenzhen Art Museum, Guangdong Art Museum.
